About The Sapphire. The Sapphire Theatre Company, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, arrived on the Indianapolis scene in 2008 with their premiere production of Lysistrata produced at the Circle Centre Mall. Although the economic climate has challenged this young arts organization to think creatively, it's mission remains to entertain, inspire, and connect in order to enrich the human spirit and contribute to cultural growth. One result is the creation of a wide variety of unique and engaging Educational & Outreach programs, including PERFORMANCE PLAYGROUND.
