CARMEL, IN -   Writer and Director Christopher Allen has announced Rise of Metropolis, a new production his RACSO team plans to shoot in June, 2012.  Allen helms his third endeavor into the fan based production, with popular titles such as “Star Trek vs Batman” and “Quantum Leap; A leap to Di for” to his credit.  Allen’s 2009 film, “A Time for the Heart”, was also selected for competition in the San Diego Comic Con International Film Festival in 2010.

Returning to the RACSO helm is co-producer David Briggs, who produced RACSO’s previous two features.  Matt Beikes of Jazzy Dog Productions also joins RACSO as Assistant Director while Daniel Risk serves as Cinematographer for the production.

Rise of Metropolis centers on The Dark Knight, Superman, and Wonder Woman characters immersed in modern day social and complex political dilemmas.   The popular trio is stands against Ra’s Al Ghul, who has returned to Gotham City to finish off not only Gotham City, but Metropolis and the entire United States Government.  Appearances will also include Harley Quinn, Scarecrow, Bizarro, and the Joker.  Fans may recall the 2010 incarnation, “Fall of Gotham”, delayed in 2010, but has been re-tooled into a smaller, leaner production.  "Most of the original cast has returned," said Allen.  "I am grateful for their continued belief in me."  Cast members include Chris Spurgin, John Gearies, Cassandra Nuss, Lisa Marie Smith, Carrie Bennett Fedor, David Briggs, Daniel Boughton, and Larry Adams.

Allen is also unlocking the RACSO’s vaults for some impressive rewards to fans that help get Rise of Metropolis off the ground.  Fans and supporters can receive The Dark Knight, Wonder Woman, and Superman tailor-made costumes used in the film, as well as the entire costume collection from the immensely popular “Star Trek vs. Batman” film from 2006.  Kickstarter supporters are also given exclusive on-set access, previewing the film before it premieres, DVD’s of all three fan-films, and much more.

“We’re giving folks the exclusive chance to actually live their investment, not just get the usual DVD.  There has to be an incentive for people to help.  Here, they can visit the set, have fun, and get some remarkable collectibles from this project.” Allen added.  “I want it to be a win-win for everyone.”
