A former software industry consultant and programmer, Ian once
spent his days on the development of globally deployed anti-counterfeiting
technology through DigimarcCorporation. He’s worked for
industry giants such as Intel, Symantec and Daimler Chrysler.
Then he came to his senses.
Ian is now best known for his work as an illustrator and special
effects designer creating digital and practical special effects
for the critically acclaimed shorts Confederate Zombie Massacre!
and Raven Gets a Life, as well as the infamous indie cult feature
The Dork of the Rings and Troma’s outlandish Poultrygeist.
Ian Just finished work on the digital effects for Devi Snively’s
short Death in Charge and is charging forward on her first feature
(Trippin) on which he was also the practical effects supervisor.
Ian writes, directs, designs mechanical effects, costumes,
designs and manufactures prosthetic teeth, builds puppets and
works as a digital and a 3D effects artist on films ranging
from shorts to features and from micro-budgets to budgets over
a quarter of a million dollars.
