Mikel
is an indie filmmaker and writer who lives in Northern Indiana.
Born and raised in Brazil, South America, he has spent most of
his life viewing and talking about films. Mikel has directed several
short films. In 2007, he directed the short "Cellar Door,"
which won the 2007 Cinephile Film Arts Grant, which then got it
featured at the 2008 Indiana Festival of Independent Film and
Video, and is being distributed internationally by Ouat Media
(Canada), which is currently selling the film to several regions.
Mikel's newest short film, "Cold October," was just
completed. Mikel works as well as a freelance videographer, has
directed TV commercials, and has worked as a crew-member on feature
films. In 2007, he worked as the 1st Assistant Director for the
independent feature film, Silk Trees, directed by Jedidiah Burdick. |
